How long are the tours?
Most tours will begin with destination arrival on a Sunday (leave the USA on Saturday, arrive Sunday a.m.), with return departure the following Sunday (leave Europe, arrive USA same day). We figure it's a lot easier to ask the boss for one week off instead of two!
What is the cost for a tour package?
Tour package costs will be dependent on destination, as well as planned excursions. So...it's really hard to give a ballpark quote in this format, but do check the "Upcoming Tours" tab for quotes. We do quote in foreign currency as tours are planned well in advance and the exchange rate will fluctuate. Oh, and check out our "Links" page for an exchange calculator that reflects the current rate...easy!
Can I pay for my tour with a credit card or cash, and who takes my money?
We are pleased as punch to be partnered with experienced travel agent, and very cool gal Lenora Shope of Sail Away Travel. Lenora will be handling all monetary transactions, and her contact info can be found under "More"..."Deposit and Payment Info". You can pay by credit card, money order, chickens, goats...we'll take it all! ;)
Do I have to go on all the excursions?
Of course not! We understand the need for some chillin' time...after all, it's your vacation! However, the cost of the tour package will not change if you opt out on any of the excursions. Sorry...we're not a cruise ship!
What if I have to cancel at the last minute?
Once upon a time, the Travel Fairy invented this wondrous thing called "Travel Insurance". We strongly (emphasize...STRONGLY) recommend you get this! It's a nominal fee that will be more than worth it if something should cause you to cancel your trip. Look under "Links" for some companies to check out for this. Deposits are non-refundable, and payment in full is due 60 days from departure. We'd love to be able to give you back 100% if something happened, but we have to pay our folks up front and early to guarantee a great tour!
Will I need to have foreign currency on hand or will they take US dollars?
Most businesses in Europe do not accept dollars. Contact your bank to order whatever foreign currency you need. They do like our credit cards, though! Just be sure you notify your credit card company of upcoming foreign transactions (do the same for ATM and debit cards!).

What does the cost of a tour include?
Package prices will generally include most transfers and most all ground transportation (each tour will differ slightly on this), hotel accomodations, breakfast and approximately half of the evening meals (we figured you might want some time on your own here and there), and generally all excursions. Cost does NOT include airfare, but we'd be happy to help you figure out where to fly in and out of, etc.
How many concerts can I expect to attend on the tour?
Our general format is kind of like a "music sandwich"...one larger size show on the ends of the tour, with one nice little intimate one in between. This, of course, is subject to change based on tour location, time of year, etc. You know how those venue operaters can be!
I can plan my own tour for less money. Why should I consider going with Texas Music Tours?
That's right...you might be able to, but the beauty of a Texas Music Tour package is not only are we taking care of the endless searching, wondering, planning, headaches, etc. that go with setting up your own thing, you are traveling WITH your favorite musician...elbow to elbow as you see the sights! Consider, too, that a TMT adventure places you with like-minded people who share similar interests-- fans of the same musicians as well as being into fun travel and adventure. A combo as sweet as the most delectable tiramisu, I'd say!
I have some health issues and am a little worried about travel abroad.
That's completely understandable! The guides we work with are local and can help with any needs for medications, etc. However, there is also a great nonprofit (IAMAT) designed just for assisting travelers abroad. It's "free", but a donation provides you a membership, along with specific names and contact info for docs and hospitals (English speaking) in the areas you'll be visiting. It's a nomial fee and buys a lot of peace of mind! See our "Links" page for this site.
I've never traveled to Europe. Where can I find good information on passports, packing, and other things like that?
Great question! We've provided several links to address those concerns on our "Links" page. Check out the "How to Not Look Like a Tourist" page under "more", as well. Start reading...!
